In our western culture we take education for granted. Here in Pakistan, like many places in the world, these children & widows often can't even read or write their own language.
Here the children & widows are gathered for Sunday school
Being able to read & write in their own language, Urdu, empowers the orphans & widows to understand the world that they have been trapped in due to ignorance brought on from a lack of basic education. Once they can read, the families will be able to understand the terms of their family's debts to the brick kiln owners, and perhaps break the cycle. They are learning English as well, which will empower them even further with a commodity among the workforce, which may give them chance at a way out of the brutal & deadly kilns.
Sunday School English
Danish & Neha dedicate their lives to helping these "bricklin" families. They ensure that the families are given a chance to know who Jesus is through word and the fruit of God's care. Learning to read & write is among those fruits. The Lord brings so much more in the way of hope as a result of these empowerments & learning the will and character of Jesus Christ.
